It is essential that the Quartz Sleeve is checked when replacing your lamp as any scratches or dirt build up greatly effects the performance of a UV. We would recommend that you always had a spare sleeve in stock in case it gets damaged as this would stop your UV from functioning.

Please note that UV sterilisers do not improve the taste of water they are simply killing bacteria in the water.
They should be incorporated into a system comprising the appropriate water filters to remove particles and to treat the water to make it palatable.
