What Is A Ceramic Water Filter & How Does Ceramic Water Filtration Work? | Doulton® Water Filters 03:56

The History of Doulton® Water Filters: In 1826, Henry Doulton invented the concept of contemporary ceramic water filtration. He discovered that filtering water through porous ceramic would prevent people from falling ill due to cholera and other waterborne diseases. In the present day, Doulton® Water Filters utilise these ceramic filters, manufactured in the UK from 100% natural materials to improve the look, odour, and taste of tap water. Achieved by filtering out 99.99% plus of common contaminants such as chlorine, filtering out bacteria, cysts, and microplastic particles whilst retaining all of the healthy, naturally-occurring minerals. What is a ceramic water filter? Ceramic is a natural product with a small and complex pore structure making it an ideal filter medium. With our manufacturing expertise, we can control this pore structure with incredible precision and consistency to ensure we target your specific water concerns. How do our ceramic water filtration systems work? The Doulton® multi-stage filtration technology is combined into a single cartridge allowing the removal of chlorine and heavy metals, guaranteeing the great Doulton® taste. #TasteTheDoultonDifference. What are the benefits of filtered water? Although tap water in the UK is generally safe to drink, lots of us have water concerns that we still want to address. The Doulton® ceramic water filter acts as a highly effective barrier protecting you and your family from harmful particles and pathogenic bacteria in the water supply whist allowing beneficial minerals to pass through.
