The CBC10 has advanced multimedia cartridges designed to reduce chlorine taste and odor, dissolved and particulated lead, cysts, MTBE and certain volatile organic chemicals (VOCs).

These cartridges are more advanced than a standard carbon block and are protected by Endurawrap, a uniquely formulated polyolefin bilaminate pre-filter that is designed to significantly increase the useful life of the cartridge by trapping the sediment that typically plugs carbon block cartridges.

In addition to the special lead reduction, the unique structure of the carbon block enables it to reduce cryptosporidium, giardia, entamoeba and toxoplasma cysts and fine sediment particles down to 0.5 microns. This is filter is also very effective at removing chlorine.
